Her Story

Before engaging the Reveal Solutions team, Carla spent her days putting out fires. She battled throughput, supporting physicians, backfilled staffing and braced herself for the next scorecard to publish.

She had good people, just not enough of them. Much of her staff had grown weary of being trapped staring at screens, playing part-time data clerk. Bottle necks were all too common in the ED and PACUs making care progression sluggish. Not only were Carla’s Nurses wading through these challenges, but the ripple effect spilled over to the Physicians who were in need of the right teams and tools to care for their patients.

As a result, patient experiences were up and down, and nurse separations and shift gaps were unpredictable. Additionally, while workflows functioned, they were not fluid. To top it all off, although clinical team members were engaged, it was not consistent.

Driven to help her team and her community, Carla championed the Synchrony Nursing Care Model. Now live, Synchrony supports better workflow and teamwork. And the whole care team is better prepared for variables. Leaders are more resilient and accountable. Real-time feedback from patients is heart-warming, and metrics are steady and improving. Nurses are reinvigorated with more time for what they love… being nurses again!
